Permission to Flourish Publishing Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to Permission to Flourish (“PTF”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in any PTF publications, including anthologies, magazines, and related media (“Publications”). By submitting content or engaging with our Publications, you agree to comply with these Terms.

 

2. Content Submission Guidelines

2.1 Eligibility

By submitting to PTF, you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental or legal guardian consent.

2.2 Ownership and Rights

• Originality: All submissions must be your original work. You must hold the rights to the content or have permission to use any third-party content included in your submission.
• Licensing: By submitting your work, you grant PTF a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, and promote the content in print, digital formats, and related media.
• Attribution: PTF agrees to credit contributors appropriately.

2.3 Prohibited Content

Content that contains the following is strictly prohibited:

• Copyright infringement
• Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
• Defamation or false claims
• Explicit or inappropriate material without prior discussion and consent

2.4 Editing Rights

PTF reserves the right to make minor edits for clarity, grammar, and formatting. Any substantial edits will be discussed with the author.

 

3. Payment and Fees

3.1 Contributor Fees

As of December 10 2024, details will be provided through the designated Jotform link, contract, or communicated directly.

3.2 Author Copies

Details for author copy purchases will be provided through the designated Jotform link or communicated directly.

4. Publishing Information in Compliance with Washington State Law

In accordance with RCW 42.56.040, PTF provides the following details about its organization and procedures:

• Organization: Permission to Flourish is a publishing platform dedicated to sharing transformative stories through anthologies, magazines, and related media.
• Operations: PTF curates, edits, and publishes content from contributors to inspire and empower readers.
• Procedures: Contributors can submit content via designated forms and will be informed of submission timelines, editorial processes, and publication schedules.

4.1 Updates and Revisions

In compliance with RCW 42.56, any amendments, revisions, or repeals to these Terms or procedures will be displayed and communicated to contributors and users promptly.

4.2 Publishing Exemption

Under RCW 82.04.759, PTF is exempt from certain publishing requirements, as it is primarily engaged in publishing eligible digital content and related print publications.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in PTF Publications, unless otherwise stated, is the intellectual property of the respective authors and contributors. PTF retains the right to use collective works for promotional purposes.

6. User Conduct

By interacting with PTF Publications, you agree to:

• Respect the rights and opinions of contributors.
• Refrain from unauthorized distribution or reproduction of Publications.

7. Limitation of Liability

PTF, its affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

• Content inaccuracies or errors
• Unauthorized use of content by third parties

8. Termination

PTF reserves the right to terminate participation or access for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, the granted license will cease unless otherwise agreed.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10. Modifications

PTF may update these Terms periodically. Contributors and users will be notified of any changes. Continued participation constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
